[NOKOMIS] – A Florida Man leaped into action to save his dog from the clutches of a nine-foot alligator on Friday.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Man was inside his home in Nokomis, FL when he heard a commotion outside.
The Man rushed outside to see his chocolate lab in a canal with an alligator. Without hesitation, the Florida Man jumped into the canal and pried open the gator’s jaws to free his dog.
Both Florida Man and Dog were injured, but are expected to make a full recovery. The dog was taken to a vet to be examined.
A trapper arrived and captured the gator, which was a massive nine-foot nine inches long.
