[LAKE CITY] – Two Florida Men are in jail after a leading cops on high speed chase in a U-Haul truck.
The rental truck made a risky lane change on the I-75, and was pulled over. The deputy, David Harvey noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the truck. While he went to run a background check on the driver’s license, the truck sped off.

Harvey pursued the U-Haul, which got off on U.S. 90. Hitting speeds of 87 MPH, the truck weaved in and out of traffic, blowing through red lights and running over medians.
The chase went on for almost ten minutes before the rental truck crashed into three other vehicles. The two Florida Men inside took off on foot.
The driver, Akeem Davis, attempted to run but didn’t get far due to his pants falling down.
Passenger D’Angelo Harden is currently wanted in three different states.
The two were arrested and taken to Columbia County Jail.
Five people suffered minor injuries from the crash but are said to be OK according to deputies. No word on what was in the U-Haul truck. [Original Article]
