[VERO BEACH] – A Florida Man was arrested after taking police on a high-speed chase tossing bags of weed out the window of the vehicle along the way.
19-year old Tyler Thomas Adams faces a plethora of charges, including Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License, Marijuana Possession, Felony Tampering of evidence, and Felony Flee & Elude.
On Wednesday night at around 10 p.m in Vero Beach, an officer noticed Adams’ driving on expired tags. Attempting to pull him over, the vehicle made a sudden turn and pulled into a driveway of a home on Holden Ave. Two passengers jumped out of the vehicle, then Adams sped off.
The officer stated, “While traveling behind the vehicle I noticed the driver, who was the occupant of the vehicle, began throwing several clear plastic bags out of the driver side window.”
Adams was seen reaching speeds of 85mph on Country Road 512. Officers attempted to apply a ramming technique to stop him, but he continued to evade them. After multiple ramming attempts, The vehicle came to an abrupt stop.
Adams was non-compliant when confronted. “While trying to remove the suspect from the vehicle, the suspect refused to give me his hands and was yelling ‘F— you guys,’” The officer stated.
Multiple plastic bags of marijuana that were thrown out of the window were retrieved. Inside the vehicle were additional bags, as well as a BB gun.
Adams was arrested and taken to Indian River County Jail on a $13,500 bond. [Original Article]
