Florida Man Takes 18-Wheeler on Police Chase Through Multiple Counties in Texas

Everything is Bigger in Texas…Including the police chases.  Florida Man took his antics all the way over to the Lone Star State for this story.  He went “bigger” driving an 18-wheeler and leading authorities through four counties before getting his tires shot out.

Fox 26 in Houston reports that 51-year-old man Christopher John Lubowski from Ormond Beach, Florida was booked in Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office jail.

It all started in Montgomery County when a Patton Village police unit responded to a call around 2 p.m. about an 18-wheeler driving erratically and swaying on the highway. Montgomery County deputies assisted as the chase moved into Harris and then Fort Bend County.

According to authorities, the suspect was forced to stop in Fort Bend County, Texas, neighborhood. Police told ABC13 they had to shoot the tires off of the big rig to get it to stop.

 

A Facebook Post by the Roman Forest Police Department reported the Florida Man was booked on felony charges of evading and possession of a controlled substance following a more than 2 1/2 hour pursuit. The Roman Forest Police Department says it’s believed they found Methamphetamine, but it is not confirmed.

Police say they also found two loaded magazines and a gun holster without a gun in the semi-truck.

Florida Man was bing held on a $150,000 bond until he could be seen before a judge.
