[PLANT CITY] – A Florida Man who thought it would be a good idea to impersonate a cop was busted after he pulled over an undercover detective.
26-year old Matthew Erris turned on the red and blue lights on his Chevy Trailblazer and pulled over a vehicle on Paul Buchman Highway last Tuesday.
Instead of pulling over, the Hillsborough County Sherriff’s detective that was inside the vehicle called dispatchers who tracked down the Florida Man.
Erris was arrested and told authorities he had been using the lights he installed on his vehicle to cut through traffic.
He was booked at Hillsborough County Jail and released on $2,000 bond. Original Article
