[HERNANDO COUNTY] – A Florida Man faces grand theft auto charges after stealing an ambulance from a hospital.
According to deputies, 29-year old Trey Cornwell took an ambulance from the Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville.
The ambulance crew was dropping a patient off inside the hospital when The Florida Man decided to take off with it.
He then allegedly drove to an area off of Port Court, where the ambulance became stuck in some mud.
Witnesses say he left the ambulance after getting it stuck, taking off to a nearby shopping plaza. He was arrested shortly after and taken to the Hernando County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. [Original Article]
