[MIAMI-DADE COUNTY] – Other than the great mugshot, what this Florida Man did seemed pretty tame, until we found out his cousin was his girlfriend. It doesn’t get much more Florida Man than that.
On September 13th Melvin Citron, from Hollywood, FL was arrested for setting his cousin’s car on fire. Not only did this bone-headed Florida Man get caught on camera setting the car on fire, he also left his cellphone behind at the scene. The car was actually torched back in April. So why did it take so long to catch this Florida Man?
Citron’s cousin / girlfriend was afraid to speak with police. She originally told them the car caught fire on a drive home. She later changed her story and said she did this because Citron only let her speak with investigators on speakerphone.
Citron’s incestious girlfriend said she was scared of him for several reasons. He once stole her purse and dropped her on the side of the road after an argument. His cousin also stated he regularly carried a double-drummed high capacity gun. She said he called the drums the guns “tits” because of the round appearance on both sides of the weapon.
Local10 reports Citron was charged with second-degree arson and third-degree grand theft. He is being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $12,500 bond.
