[DELRAY BEACH] Florida Man had just a bit too much fun and found himself drunk, naked and passed out in an intersection. Well, he didn’t find himself. The police found him. And what came next will now go into this Florida Man history books.
At about 1 a.m. on October 19th, police officers found a sleeping and naked Edward Tuttle, from Syracuse, New York, at Northeast Second Street and Northeast Third Avenue in Delray Beach.
According to WPDE, The officer described him as “nude, laying face down in the landscaping.” The officer wrote in the police report about shaking the unknown man’s “shoulder a couple times to check if he was conscious.” Florida Man didn’t respond, so the officer tried one more time.
After nudging him some more, Florida Man finally regained consciousness and started to stand up. “Unprovoked and without warning”, Tuttle sucker punched the uniformed officer in the nose, causing it to bleed.
Drunk, Naked, and Stupid is no excuse to punch a police officer, and Florida Man learned the hard way. Don’t forget that Florida is home to the “Don’t Tase me, Bro!” guy. So the Florida police did what they do best. The officer serving as backup immediately tased Tuttle and the pair of officers apprehended and arrested Florida Man.
While he was cuffed and still in his birthday suit, Florida Man did admit to the cops he had been drinking. Tuttle was then charged with disorderly intoxication and battery on a law enforcement officer.
