All Florida Man wanted was a burrito. Instead he got a DUI when he confused a Bank of America drive-thru with a Taco Bell.
28 Year-old Douglas Francisco, from Tampa, pulled up into a drive-thru bank lane and fell asleep. The manager of the Bank of America branch said the employees saw the man passed out in his car around 5 pm.
According to WFTS in Tampa the manager was able to wake the man after beating loudly on the window for “some time”. The bank manager said when he woke up he tried to order a burrito because he believed he was at Taco Bell.
When Florida Man was informed it wasn’t a Taco Bell, he drove into the parking lot and fell asleep again. The manager then called Hernando County Sheriff’s Office to report the impaired driver.
When the police arrived Florida Man was still passed out in his car, with the engine running. After a series of sobriety test, Francisco was arrested for DUI. Deputies reported his “slowed movements consistent with someone under the influence of prescription narcotics”.
Florida Man had Oxycodone and Xanax on him, both of which he was prescribed, according to the police report.
He was transported to the Hernando County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond.
